America's fascination with the Obama style continues in the March edition of Vogue Magazine, which features Michelle Obama on its cover. The portrait by Annie Leibovitz features the first lady relaxing on a couch in a magenta Jason Wu dress.

Vogue has often featured presidential spouses, but Mrs. Obama is only the second to appear on the cover, after Hillary Clinton. Most first ladies ask Vogue's fashion experts to choose an outfit for them, but Obama has the distinction of having chosen the dress herself.

High esteem from the fashion world is nothing new for the 45-year-old first lady. The Fendi collection was the most eccentric seen thus far on the Milan summer runway.

The Globe rented one handbag each from Bag Borrow or Steal (which changed its name last month to Avelle as it expands beyond purses), AllThatBags.com, From Bags to Riches, and RentMeAHandbag.com.

The rentals cost as little as $22.95 a week with shipping and insurance but can climb to more than $390 a week for the fanciest purses. Saks debuts new shoe salon

I finally got the lowdown on Saks Fifth Avenue’s luminous new shoe salon, which was officially unveiled last week, at South Coast Plaza.

Saks, which is undergoing storewide renovations, gave its space for shoes about twice the square footage it had before. Within those almost 6,000 square feet are 700 styles of designer footwear.

New designers featured include Brian Atwood, Givenchy, Fendi, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent (pictured) and Valentino. Other labels - including Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo and Gucci - have expanded offerings.

Memorable in more ways than one, since the actual materials were mainly feather light and micro thin metals with a memory that imparted them with unforgettable shapes, twists and dimples.

The silhouette had a Fifties feel, with just below the knee cuts and off the shoulder tops and jackets, recalling a decade that heralded the explosion of the sexual revolution.

The racy quality was evident in the naughty cooper, gold and brass hued bras, open-backed jackets and revealing tummies, marking these clothes out as diametrically opposed to Miuccia's previous "Sexy Nun" collection. The models, finished with pushed up chignons and ladylike pearl earrings, recalled Fifties glamour girls like Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell.

Coats came with circuit board patterns, gowns in almost technical blueprints, as Elvis Presley crooned and a steel guitar twanged out the entrance of a femme fatale.

"Metallic yes, but also back to basics," gasped Miuccia to FWD backstage, with a wink that hinted the basics were very bold.

Showing dollops of lingerie frill and trims added to the wicked moment, even if their use as straps on espadrille platforms was a major technical flaw. Lily is finally back

Now for some good news: Lily is finally back! Now the bad news: Rufus is wearing denim shirts! In any case, it was great to see these two together again. I love that they went to Landmark's Sunshine Cinema — my favorite New York movie theater, TV Watchers. And that they share a love of Harry Dean Stanton! Didn't Bart basically make her promise to let go of Rufus? Clearly this lady doesn't have much of a memory. I have a feeling things will change once the elder Bass gets back into town.

I loved Blair in her cape, presiding over the projects/rejects of the school. What high school girls wear capes? It fit, though, with the whole inquisition portion of the episode. "Where do you summer?" she asked one candidate. "The Adirondacks," said the girl, embarrassed. Ouch. Clearly she was not a guest at the Vitamin-water product-placement party. Blair was in full bitch mode in this episode, and it could not have been more enjoyable to watch. Leighton Meester is really firing on all cylinders this season.

Poor Jenny. High school is hard enough, but being so completely ignored by Blair and her cool posse is a real bummer. I love that Penelope warned her, "Your day will come. We're just picking our moment." But then when they finally did have their moment, they just emptied out her purse. Laaaame.

The business paper Kommersant said the maker of Hennessy cognac and perfumes such as Dior has paid the first installment for the stake, and the deal will be completed by the end of the year.

Under the contract, the paper said, Edinaya Evropa, which owns the Ile de Beaute cosmetics and perfume chain, will also replace L'Etoile as franchiser of LVMH's Sephora perfume and cosmetics brand in Russia.

A source in the Paris-based holding has confirmed talks on the deal, the paper said, adding that Ile de Beaute owner Igor Denisov has declined to comment.

Founded in 1992, Edinaya Evropa runs 103 cosmetics stores across Russia. Its earnings in 2007 stood at about $280 million. It was Russia's third largest distributor after L'Etoile/Sephora, with annual earnings of $760 million, and Arbat Prestige ($530 million) in 2007.

Ile de Beaute has gained more of the market since the Arbat Prestige owner was arrested on tax evasion charges in late January, and the cosmetics retailer faced about $39 million in debt claims. The firm now accounts for about 20% of the market, according to Kommersant.

Analysts cited by the paper said Ile de Beaute could be worth $167-$250 million. Kommersant also said, referring to its sources, that the contract with LVMH allows the Ile de Beaute owners, Denisov and Andrei Gribkov, to open Sephora stores in Russia.

Sephora cosmetic brand's franchiser in Russia is Alcor, also the operator of L'Etoile stores. Earlier reports said Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton was unhappy with L'Etual's policy toward the Sephora brand.

LVMH produces wines and spirits, including top champagne brands like Dom Perignon and Ruinart, fashion and leather goods, perfumes and cosmetics like Dior, Givenchy, Kenzo, and watches. I have a quick update as usual before I take my ride to the north for the shooting. I need to refresh my memory about some things so I need a quick trip to the north with friends but before I am gonna do that I need some repost about Sara Palin Bikini Photo but not about her this time. This is more on tag of war between shows and which fashion could make it more on the runway. It has been along rest for me after the Eurovision song contest. I think it will be more than two months then since I made my last post. This year fashion GREEN reveals eco-fashion designer Erika Ketelhohn as Bee Askin. Her new one is a combination of her husband's surname and the industrious insect that has inspired her work.

As an eco-designer, Askin makes use of recycled materials to create clothing she hopes will appeal to a wide audience of women.

"It's a very simple concept," she said. "You deconstruct and reconstruct."

"Eco" or "green" fashion involves "treasuring things that still have a lot of life left in them," she said. "I think eco-fashion can be part of the fashion world."

Askin's favorite recycled materials are men's shirts, preferably cotton and of good quality, perhaps too threadbare around the neck to still be worn but with attractive colors and designs she can adapt to her own creations.

Not even a dick a day! Fcking hate it when friendster taking so long to reload. They never resolved this issue! Anyway, it was a great night last night partying at Aris for the Eurovision 2008 final night. There were bunch of people some I never met before but 70 percent I have met them. It was really nice. Russian won the grand prize and here the Eurovision 2008 final Results. France finished outside the top ten just like Sweden. We cheered our country anyway when Malta gave us the perfect score of 12! Thank you Malta! :)

Today was good day! That’s from the song actually which I don’t know the singer but it’s so popular for two seasons now. Marrika, Kristian and I went to see the Iron Man Movie at Royal theatre. The only big theatre in my town, in fact it’s really big for a theatre.

We were supposed to have just coffee when we called up to meet up but the weather was unfavourable today therefore we thought about going to see a movie than staying in the cold outside. So had to run to the nearest movies house and checked the “Now showing” and alas! It was the Iron Man Movie. It was a pleasure to see good entertainment and today for sure we really got entertained as everyone else in the house.

I just have a little problem in my other blog Fendi Tote Hand bags when I tried to upload a Wordpress stat plugin and I got “Wordpress API key confusion” I hope anyone could give me some hugs and loving before I get my ticket to Roskilde Festival in Denmark or find Fashion Tote Bags from Top Fashion Designers.

My friend Devin has been so excited about what he is doing. He has been taking the blog and making sites seriously. Grand Canary Island this summer

I have found a good thing to do while having much time in my hands. Instead of just staying home I could go biking down to the harbour while the weather is hot. I am just counting few days before my family go to Grand Canary Island this summer I couldn’t wait to go there because it will be my first time. Next week also the grand Final for the Eurovision Song 2008 so I am also excited about that.

What's up tonight? I did some research and more on reading. I need to return my headsets to the shop because they don't work at all. I cleaned my room and did some shopping fresh and dressed then reading my favourite fantasy book Trudi.

I Speak my sister on the phone and chatted with few friends my friend just died a week ago and some of my friends wanted to chat with me because I wrote something for my friend for his burial and someone had to read it during the burial mass. I keep reading about Andrea Berg and her famous songs in Germany downloaded some of her famous songs but sadly they are in Germans. I am going to update some of my site and write entry about Fendi Spy bags if how much they cost or will search it on the web what’s the latest about Fendi or the life of Eva Braun. Then lastly I am going to read more About the life of Eva Braun when she was at at school. I don’t know how long I could keep up tonight I guess I need to ask some help from my friends if they could do some research for me or small tips about the famous Mikimoto Pearls Island if it exist since I have been reading about this for a week now.
