Lindsay Lohan called father Liar

The 23-year-old actress called Michael Lohan her "ex-dad" and denied his allegations that she is addicted to prescription drugs, reported New York Daily News.

On Thursday, Lohan and her estranged dad, had a chaotic showdown outside her LA apartment. It ended with him threatening to seek a Britney Spears-style conservatorship over worries she's in a downward spiral of late-night partying and prescription drugs.

He then arrived back at her home with sheriff's deputies to conduct a "welfare check" on his younger daughter, 16-year-old daughter Ali, who too was at the apartment.

Obama style continues

America's fascination with the Obama style continues in the March edition of Vogue Magazine, which features Michelle Obama on its cover. The portrait by Annie Leibovitz features the first lady relaxing on a couch in a magenta Jason Wu dress.

Vogue has often featured presidential spouses, but Mrs. Obama is only the second to appear on the cover, after Hillary Clinton. Most first ladies ask Vogue's fashion experts to choose an outfit for them, but Obama has the distinction of having chosen the dress herself.

High esteem from the fashion world is nothing new for the 45-year-old first lady. She made Vanity Fair's international best dressed list two years in a row and consistently outpolled Hillary Clinton, Sarah Palin and Cindy McCain during the election season on her dress. Fendi Small Bags

The Fendi collection was the most eccentric seen thus far on the Milan summer runway.

Models with pale makeup and wildly pinned-up hair wore futuristic dresses made up of cut-out lace in icy pastels or black, cinched tightly at the waist in an elastic cummerbund with a circular geometric figure for decoration.

The collection might have been offbeat, but the overall effect did not stray from the elegant yet easygoing look preferred by Italian designers for the summer of 2009.

Footwear at Fendi was strangely calm for the house that made metal ankle straps a fashion fetish. The favourite look was an open-toed saddle shoe with a comfortable platform.

The latest Fendi bags, by second-generation Silvia Fendi Venturini, designer for the label, are a series of stiff clutch bags, including one that resembles a metal lock.

A decade ago, Venturini breathed new life into the aging company when she designed the small "baguette" bag, a play on words as well as a tribute to the French loaf of bread from which it drew inspiration. printable halloween stencils, free halloween sound effects, week 6,7,8,9,10 nfl power rankings, chocolate models

Style Awards Sunday night

Sure, many of the hottest stars were decked out in looks by top designers: Chris "Ludacris" Bridges wore DKNY, Sophia Bush sported Helmut Lang and Molly Sims dazzled in Dolce & Gabbana, but the real chatter centered around break-ups, make-ups and confirmations of engagements.

Rose McGowan flashed a hefty engagement ring from director Robert Rodriguez. The duo have been the subject of engagement and break-up speculation for the last year.

McGowan confirmed she's set to walk down the aisle and chatted about wedding plans. (She says she didn't bother asking Rodriguez how many carats the ring is.)

"I just want to go to an island somewhere and pay somebody else to deal with it," said McGowan, who wore a $28 Victoria's Secret turtleneck and Fendi shoe boots. "Quentin (Tarantino) is going to be my bridesmaid," she said, laughing. supermodel naomi campbell, hot supermodels in lingerie, history of theatre makeup, celebrity makeup looks

Fendi bag you can Borrow one

For those who want the look of Rodeo Drive but don't have the stomach or wallet to shell out hundreds, if not thousands, for the designer purses fashionistas tote everywhere, there's an alternative besides knockoffs.

Online handbag-rental companies, first launched four years ago, now have a bevy of competitors trying to corner the market. And a cameo in the movie "Sex and the City" this summer gave the concept an even higher profile.

The Globe rented one handbag each from Bag Borrow or Steal (which changed its name last month to Avelle as it expands beyond purses), AllThatBags.com, From Bags to Riches, and RentMeAHandbag.com.

The rentals cost as little as $22.95 a week with shipping and insurance but can climb to more than $390 a week for the fanciest purses. Although all the companies offer perks and lower prices to those with memberships, we opted to rent without joining. We did sign up for insurance when possible, though.Veronica Varekova Photo Pictures, Beyonce single ladies video, MTV Europe Music Awards 2008, Vanessa Hudgens Bobby Bones makeout Photos

Saks debuts new shoe salon

I finally got the lowdown on Saks Fifth Avenue’s luminous new shoe salon, which was officially unveiled last week, at South Coast Plaza.

Saks, which is undergoing storewide renovations, gave its space for shoes about twice the square footage it had before. Within those almost 6,000 square feet are 700 styles of designer footwear.

New designers featured include Brian Atwood, Givenchy, Fendi, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent (pictured) and Valentino. Other labels - including Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo and Gucci - have expanded offerings.

Purple hues, platforms and boots are particularly popular right now, according to General Manager Gretchen Pace. (But they don’t carry a purple platform boot - I asked!)tamil blue film, malayalam blue films, nederlandse film tbs .torrent, Leryn Franco Catwalk

Bag a billboard

A bag made from recycled billboard materials may sound a bit rank, but recycling is oh so fashionable - and Max is joining in on the sustainable trend by introducing bags made from old Max billboard ads. The colourful waterproof tote bags, $49, are in store now from all Max stores, with profits going to the Max Foundation for New Zealand Women. And the best thing? Each bag is one-of-a-kind.
